Understanding the Beautiful Names of Allah introduces the Asmaul Husna, the Beautiful Names of Allah, through their meanings and their place in daily life. In the words of its introduction, the Names "are not just names; they are attributes that define the majesty, mercy, and power of our Creator."
What the book contains
• An introduction to the Asmaul Husna, including the hadith on Allah's ninety-nine Names (Sahih al-Bukhari 2736). • A page for each Name: the Name in Arabic calligraphy, its transliteration and English title, and its meaning in Urdu. • For every Name: its meaning, a verse of the Qur'an or a hadith in which it appears (Arabic text, English translation and reference), an explanation, a practical lesson for daily life, and a dua (supplication). • A conclusion, "Living by Asmaul Husna", and closing duas.
How the book was prepared
The book describes its own approach in "About This Book": for every Name it gives the Qur'anic verses where the Name is mentioned, hadith references from the Sunnah, practical lessons on how to embody and apply the Name, and a dua.
Sources cited in the book are the Qur'an (with surah and verse numbers) and hadith collections named on its pages: Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan at-Tirmidhi, Sunan Ibn Majah, Sunan an-Nasa'i, Musnad Ahmad and Mishkat al-Masabih.
The book states that it "has been professionally reviewed and approved by Gülsen Yazici, Psychosocial Systems & Gestalt Therapist, the Netherlands."
